Austria / EVN\'s environmental division reports declining sales
Austrian energy supplier EVN AG\'s environmental division reports a drop in sales in the first half of the current fiscal year. The total turnover declined from EUR 106.4 million to EUR 103.9 million. Operating profit fell from EUR 6.7 million to EUR -0.5 million, mainly resulting from higher depreciation and amortisation. Due to the clearly improved financial result, the pre-tax result experienced just a slight decrease from EUR 10.9 million to EUR 10.5 million. EVN commissioned the third line of the WTE plant Dürnrohr, which has an annual capacity of 225,000 tons.
