USA / Portsmouth (Virginia): Waste-to-energy plant will be sold to Wheelabrator
The Southeastern Public Service Authority (SPSA) of Virginia’s board of directors voted to only sell its Portsmouth waste-to-energy plant to Wheelabrator Technologies Inc., for USD 150 million cash, instead of purchasing all of its assets. The sale of the waste-to-energy plant is expected to close in early 2010.
