USA / Plasma gasification plant could be constructed in Montgomery (Alabama)
A plasma gasification plant is considered to be constructed in Montgomery in Alabama. If the plant was built here, it would make Montgomery the first city in the world to use graphite arc plasma to gasify household waste. The planned facility could be able to convert 175,000 tons of household waste into energy but is expected to be designed to handle up to 500 tons of waste a day. Plasma Waste Recycling, the company behind the project, now plans to conduct a feasibility study, which will determine whether the plasma gasification plant is sustainable in Montgomery.
